The Worst Survey Ever

James Barlow writes about the worst survey ever. The accused is the Bristol City Council who run a Citizens Panel for the local community.
After having a quick look through the survey I would agree that there are some parts which could be improved. The worst, I’m not so sure.
The oddest thing about the survey that stood out for me was the question 16 which asks:
- Q16 Do you have access to the Internet? (this may be at home, work or somewhere else)
As it is an online survey it is pretty likely that they do!!??

Hi
This is rather an unfair point as you are obviously unaware of who the survey went to. Just because the survey has been posted online does not mean that it has only been distributed online. Bristol’s Citizens Panel is made up of 2000 residents who come from a wide range of areas, backgrounds etc. A percentage of the panellists complete the survey online but a larger percentage fill it in on paper.

Thanks for your comment Carol and fair cop. After reading the entry Worst Survey Ever (http://www.jamesbarlow.co.uk/citizens039-panel-questionnaire-october-2008) I did find it hard to find anything that really justified that title. Aside from that one question, with your comments that throws that question into a new light.
Cheers,
Jared
